I Am Walking in God’s Strength
Father, thank You for the ability to “pray-ahead.” Our prayers for help and assistance are more than reactive—after something has occurred, they can also be proactive and on the offense. I come to You this morning with open hands, open mind, and an open heart. Because You can see what I can’t and know what I have no knowledge of. You know every conversation awaiting me, every task I will face, every responsibility that’s in my court, and that includes every fiery dart and flaming arrow the devil will aim and plans to release into my life for destruction.
I ask You to fill me with Your strength. I ask You to renew me when I am at that point of feeling tired; to steady me when I’m feeling overwhelmed; to guide me when I feel unsure; and be my strength when I cannot find my own. I trust it’s going to be Your power, not my own strength, Your grace not my own, and Your presence not my own that will make my steps firm and my decisions wise.
I thank You for Your presence that stays with me and goes before me today. I know You’ll help me rise as on wings like eagles and I know it’s not so important that I have every moment of my day planned or that I know everything in advance—what’s most important is that I put my hand in Yours and keep it there; that I trust You with everything I have.
Inspiration for Today’s Teacup Prayer
I can do all things through him who gives me strength—Philippians 4:13
He gives strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint—Isaiah 40:29-31
It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.—Psalm 18:32
