Whether with a group or alone, sitting with God and tea we can be reminded how an age-old tradition of pausing in our day to have a cup of tea (or coffee) can foster self-care, inner healing, connection & community, It's my calling and passion to provide safe spaces where women can share their experiences, identify their strengths, grow individually and deepen their relationship with God, enjoy tea and be blessed through community and Scripture.
There is nothing more powerful or empowering than coming together with a few friends in a space that promotes physical, emotional, relational and spiritual health and well-being. Over a cup of tea, with the word of God in front of us we can foster deeper connections, offer mutual support, address life's challenges in a judgement-free atmosphere, engage in self-reflection and experience spiritual growth.
Ever since I was a little girl, I was drawn toward the ritual of gathering women together. From the time I was a young child I set my intention on becoming a Carmelite Nun even though my family was not Catholic. I didn’t know at the time, but it was less about the vocation, and more about my heart and soul sensing its purpose to be a gatherer of women, someone who creates and holds space where women can not only express themselves fully, without judgment and experience healing, but be blessed through the Word of God.
Today, I’m not surprised that I wanted to be a woman-gatherer in my adult life. Given the fact that I grew up surrounded by women who loved one another deeply and seized every opportunity they could to gather. Their complicated and broken childhood—having endured stretches of time where they were separated, seemed to make their gathering as adult women even more important and empowering.
Memories of seeing my mother and aunts gather to cook, gather to help one another move into new homes, gather to celebrate births and grieve losses, gather to clean and arrange spaces, gather their families together to share a meal or for no reason at all left a lasting impression on my feminine psyche and heart. I witnessed them crying together, celebrating together and marking special holidays. Their spirit of gathering became mine also. I didn't know at the time what they were doing was sowing blessings over one another and others.
What I learned from these gatherings was how meaningful life can be when we gather and enjoy feminine energy. I learned how much we needed one another. Later I realized it was even deeper than that. Gathering together gave us strength; collectively we were stronger, more courageous because we were accountable to something much bigger than ourselves; we were a community bound by our femininity; more alike than different.
While I didn’t become that Carmelite Nun, I have been able to fulfill my soul’s calling to gather women together in creative ways, namely over refreshing cups of tea and the Word of God. God has strategically positioned me so I can accomplish my heart’s calling and purpose: I am to bless.
My mission has become creating sacred spaces where women can recenter as they journey deeper and deeper on their path, learning how to better navigate their feminine journey and the cycles of womanhood in a more holistic way.
I have been blessed to enjoy more than thirty years of gathering women together, thirty plus years of designing teatimes and blessing events that give women space to heal, be heard, find and reclaim their strength, rejoice in their creativity, explore their relationship with God, learn how to cultivate healthy sister-to-siter relationships, examine what it means to have a biblical worldview and understand the impact that has on their lives individually and in community.
A journey that called me from childhood led me to a path where I would receive an A.A. in Women’s studies, certifications in Mental Health, Grief Counseling, Professional Life Coaching and as a Women’s Circle Facilitator. I am a member of AACC, ICAA, and CMA. The study of God’s feminine creation is never-ending and inexhaustible, and the more God’s original intention for Eve unfolds be revealed the more we become emboldened to live our lives under His direction and power. The Spirit of Eve continues to call us out of our shell and embrace the fullness of our femininity.
It’s my passion and joy to empower women through deep listening, engaging in activities that support holistic well-being and self-care, create atmospheres where we can enjoy freedom from judgment, acceptance, deepen our spirituality, share unconditional love and support for ourselves and others, enjoy delicious, refreshing cups of tea, and, of course bless women through the Scriptures. Weaving the promises and word of God into a blessing so life can be opened and fullness of life enjoyed. Look at my tea and blessing gatherings, find one that calls to you and drop me a line or better yet, come join me.
See you at the next blessing and tea gathering!
